Folklore Cafe Studio, Port Adelaide

Probably the best Cafe in Port Adelaide. Absolutely fabulous situation, while seating out over the water of the harbour. Extremely relaxing enjoying a fine DeGroots Roasted fresh coffee. On offer is a small display of tempting food. I sat in a comfortable lounge chair, relaxing as I looked out across the water enjoying an excellent coffee. If this was Sydney it would be a multi million dollar restaurant. Enjoyed chatting with the owner, told him I will return.

The coffee is right up there with the best, and the service is excellent. For a relaxing drive into the Adelaide Hills this would be a great place to stop, relax and enjoy. Have decided we shall return soon.

Uraidla Hotel S.A.

When it comes to Australian Country Pubs, The Uraidla Hotel S.A. would have to be up there with the best. The whole set up from drinking at a bar, through to dining areas are a creative masterpiece. From staring at the light fittings, to using the toilets, wandering through the rooms, is a journey of suprise and discovery. We wined and dined last night to what would have to be a very memorable occasion. From entree, mains, a mouth watering Fish Pie, finishing with a dessert to die for, all made for a wonderful evening. The service was excellent, could not be faulted. We left very satisfied with a vow to repeat this experience again soon.

Mocha & Lime Cafe. The best in Healsville.

This Cafe is Situated in what used to be the old Ford Dealership Building. Green St Healsville, Yarra Valley. The conversion has been well thought out. The interior is quiet large, the decor is colorful, arty and rustic. On the large wall at the rear, is a huge range of second hand books, for sale, with a comfortable relaxing area to peruse. We found the range of food available is complimentary. After an absence of 5 years we found the coffee is up there with the best, smooth and relaxing to drink. The Cafe is just off the Main Street but well worth the walk around the corner. Hope to return sooner this time.

Top Paddock Cafe Richmond Melbourne VIC

Top Paddock Cafe. Richmond Melbourne Vic, was well worth the effort to drive across the city traffic. If a cow or a horse could talk, your question to them  “where are the best places on the farm for you”?. There answer would probably be the “Top Paddock” For a coffee cafe  connoisseur the “Top Paddock” could well be there answer. They roast there own coffee, which is smooth with a lingering pleasant after taste. After reading the free news paper we ordered and enjoyed a second coffee. We found the table service was the best. The lunch we ate was fresh, filling and tasty. The cafe was very busy, but the staff found for us a quite comfortable table. No free Wifi, but the word is it is on the way.

Yorks 1-3 Newhall l St Birmingham central UK

This is a very modern cafe bakery, with an industrial rustic design. We found the breakfast menu was varied with lots of options. We had the scrambled eggs with bacon, very well prepared, with a generous serving. Even though the cafe bakery was busy, we found the staff were polite, and friendly. The coffees we ordered were well made, with a nice after taste, not bitter. This is a very busy cafe, obviously popular with the locals. We would have no hesitation in returning.

Santa Fe Coffee Company, Woking shopping centre

With dozens of cafes in the Woking shopping Centre, one is spoilt for choice. After visiting most of the cafes, we found the Santa Fe Coffee Company met our criteria. First the coffee must be good, the food available needs to be fresh with a good range, the ambience has to be relaxing, the seating configuration must be comfortable, daily news papers with free WiFi is equally important. This cafe met our criteria on all points, we also found the service was excellent, even when busy. If your looking for a good coffee, we would suggest you give this Cafe a visit.

In Woking and West  Byfleet this is our place of preference for a coffee.

Surrey Hills Coffee Guildford Uk

"A must for the coffee connoisseur"

We came across this fabulous little cafe while searching for an independent coffee / cafe. Surrey Hills Coffee, Artisan coffee roastery. Chapel st Guildford
As devoted coffee connoisseurs, the coffee the barista served us was absolutely the best, we have had in some time. Well roasted beans with that perfect kick of strength without being burnt and smoothly steamed milk. We had a slice each of their orange cake, which was mouth watering. The deli focuses on fresh healthy treats, which catered for all, sweet tooth, savory tooth, gluten free, dairy free and sugar free tastes.

This place is definitely worth a return visit.

Dominique Ansel Bakery

HAVE YOU EVER TASTED A CRONUT.

On visiting England, my London family insisted on taking us to visit Dominique Ansel Bakery for their infamous cronut. I had read of some one who tried to get one in New York but not successful. A Cronus is a cross between a croissant and a Doughnut.
All I can say is that my first Cronut experience was delightful, It was amazingly scrumptious. I found each bite was as delicious as the first, crunchy with good body. The serving size is generous and definitely worth the wait, no wonder this bakery is very popular.
The bakery/cafe is modern and very tidy with good seating arrangements. Along with our Cronut, we had coffee, which was very smooth and creamy with a hint of chocolate after taste. Well worth the visit.

The Yard Kitchen. Brunswick Rd Penrith Cumbria UK

What a delightful place for a lunch/coffee break. Located on Brunswick Rd  alongside Morrisons Food Market. On arrival we were made very welcome by friendly helpful staff. The interior is rustic-industrial with a good range of comfortable seating in three different rooms upstairs. Including sofas and chairs in front of a log fire, very relaxing. There is also a tidy alfresco area. The cakes are fresh and quite mouth watering made on site, the coffee is from a local boutique supplier. We were very impressed and will visit again.

Shape Chippy Cafe/Restaurant. Main Street Shape Cumbria

This popular, multi award winning, Fish & Chip Cafe-Restaurant is a total surprise to find, in Shape, a small village in Cumbria. Quality fish & chips, home made fish cakes, local Cumberland sausage, their own smoked food - halloumi fritters, haddock and Smokey Joe sausages.  We found the dishes we ordered were all excellent, the service could not be faulted, the table layout was good, and we were made to feel comfortable and welcome. The location of Shap Chippy is in the heart of Shap village, which is on the coast to coast route, on the A6 between Penrith and Kendal and just off the junction 39 of the M6. For the five of us we all enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant, all agreed will return.

CafeTroppo Whitmore Square Adelaide SA

We returned to Cafe Troppo this morning, our last visit was in 2014. The Cafe is still as popular as our last visit. The menus are very good and varied to cater for most tastes. The seating options are comfortable, with outside tables on the footpath. The service was friendly and efficient. I must admit on our last visit we  thought the coffee was excellent, but today the coffee was right up there with the best. If we lived closer this would become our Cafe of choice. Must return more often when in this area.

The Original Food Company Bakery, next door to the Red Cross Charity Store, Gawler St MtBarker. This bakery, has just won another award, Best Meat Pie in the Hills, we were not surprised. If you consider your self a pie gastronome this is the place, the range of fresh baked choices are excellent, through to a cabinet displaying mouth watering cakes. Utzi Cafe Burnside Village Adelaide SA

Being regular visitors to the Utzi Cafe situated in the Burnside Village, shopping complex, Portrush Rd. We found this Cafe has recently changed owners, which to our mind is an improvement. The seating options, are very well arranged, all done out with white tables, comfortable chairs that are white with black backs. The counter is a white granite with black service areas, all creating a clean tidy modern appearance. We enjoyed a very nice coffee, along with a delicious snack while in the centre shopping. The service was excellent, with a well organised service team enabling you to be attended to with out a long wait. Due to the location being in the centre of the shopping area, across from Coles, this cafe is very busy. But we could not fault the service or food options. The coffee was smooth warm, with a pleasant lingering after taste. Well worth the visit. Good Coffee, free papers, & WiFi.

The Levee Food Company. Seaport Launceston.

It is New Years Eve 2017. Eleven of us had a booking at the Levee Food Company Launceston down at the wharf. On arrival we were enthusiastically welcomed and seated in a comfortable modern open plan restaurant, with views across the wharf to boats that were moored, people walking across the decking. This was not a fixed menu, New Years Eve special. We had the choice of a full varied menu from, appetisers, entree, mains through to desserts, accompanied with an excellent wine list. Even though the restaurant was maxed out, we found all our orders were well presented, with out delay and found the service was excellent. Outside there was life music and just along the wharf a fireworks display at 9.30pm & Midnight. What a fantastic evening as we celebrated and danced to the music and watched the fire works. We will probably book again for next year for a repeat, an excellent night out.

Gracious Grace Cafe Lillydale Victoria Australia

Cafe, Catering, Functions This Modern spacious Cafe, on Castella street in Lillydale Victoria, with the Athenaeum next door, is very popular. We enjoyed dining and relaxing on the purpose built alfresco area, that over looks the Melba Park. Three of us with small children found the cafe a very comfortable place for brunch. The cafe is attached to the museum, so good for the children while we relaxed with a cake and coffee. We found the service good, with a free morning paper, free WiFi, with lots of seating options. A good call.
